"Every now and then go away, have a little relaxation, for when you come back to your work your judgment will be surer; since to remain constantly at work will cause you to lose power of judgment."

ReplyDeleteThat's why we're advised to let a manuscript sit for several months (so hard to do) after we think we're done with it. The break gives us new insight, and we can spot weaknesses we never saw before. And sometimes, just sometimes, we are able to say: "Gee, that's good!"
(Think that works with blog posts, too???)
